In this CNN interview, the 35-year-old Florida man accused of hacking into the e-mails of celebrities says he was addicted to the curiosity of snooping on the lives of the people he was on television.
Christopher Chaney, who faces jail time for allegedly leaking nude pictures of Scarlett Johansson to certain entertainment Web sites, says he used clues found online to retrieve passwords for the A-list celebrities and that his activities “just snowballed.”

“I didn’t know how to stop doing it myself,” Chaney said in the interview, adding that he was “relieved” when he was nabbed by law enforcement.
Chaney faces up to 121 years of jail time for nine counts of computer hacking, eight counts of aggravated identify theft, and nine counts of illegal wiretapping. Wired’s Threat Level has a copy of the indictment against Chaney.
