Who said SOA types can’t be the life of the party.

Miko Matsumura, curator of the SOA Center blogsite, has just renamed his site the Whatever-you-want-to-call-it Center, at  http://whatevercenter.com. This was done in reaction to Anne Thomas Manes’ New Year’s proclamation that “SOA [as we have known it that is] is dead.”

So if we can’t call it “SOA” anymore, what should we call it?

Emulating the success formula of the Artist Formerly Known as Prince (or now known again as Prince, I think), Miko suggests replacing the “SOA” moniker with a symbol, perhaps a “W” shape (for “Whatever”).

Or as Ron Schmelzer called it, “the architecture formerly known as SOA.”

It's interesting to see how it gets twisted in the mainstream media.
Say it ain't so Joe.

If you haven't a clue what SOA is...

Then make up a name and talk about something else, but still use the SOA name when you talk about it.

SOA has nothing to do with Web pages.

I like your idea of having SOA "stuffed" -- perhaps as a memento...
