Considering the popularity of peer-to-peer programs on ZDNet Downloads, Ben Edelman's latest article will be of particular interest. He compares the bundled spyware and license agreements in five of the top file sharing apps. Both Limewire and iMesh have held position among the top ten in the Download.com library, which may be testimony to the fact that they include none to very little adware. The article also covers Morpheus, eDonkey, and Kazaa, which run from bad to worse on the adware front.

  • I am amazed

Even after a user cancels the setup that spyware still installs. But I shouldnt be surprised as we all know they are scumbags. I guess the SpyAct Bill passed in congress gives spyware companies a license to pollute every computer on the internet. Its working great! Got to go now.. someone calling me with spyware problems..

      • Good old sweeping generalizations

Not all P2P software contains spyware. Try WinMX, Shareaza, or Gnucleus.
