Link between Sumitomo Heist and Israeli mafia?

Remember the two arrests that were made in Israel in connection with the Sumitomo Bank heist? First they arrested some guy named Yaron Bolondi. Then they arrested another suspect in Israel named Aharon Abu-Hamra but released him after 5 days. In my blog posting of January 12th I asked some questions about this case. In particular what has happened to these guys?

Well I found a blog entry here: that reports the killing of Aharon Abu-Hamra on the streets of Holon in Israel. Could this be the same Aharon Abu-Hamra arrested in the Sumitomo case? Note that he was killed in Holon, the same town that Bolondi, the other suspect, was from.

Just check this Google search for the available information on Abu-Hamra.

Just suppose that Abu-Hamra, the alleged number two man in an organized crime ring in Israel, was behind the Sumitomo heist? That could explain the news black out in London. That could really sour relations between the UK and Israel. That could really wake banks up to the risk they are exposed to by modern bank thieves.

What is going on?
