Please introduce your organization and your role within the organization
NYK Business Systems Americas Inc. is a Global provider of IT for NYK, a Global fortune 500 shipping company. I'm the Application Support Manager for NYK Business Systems.
What is your organization doing that needed this technology?
The organization is responsible for managing a global datacenter
What products did you consider before making a selection?
We already own several similar products such as OpNet but they, were not meeting our needs.
Why did you select this product?
The functionality is unique in the industry, it is easy to use and does not require agent installs to collect the data.
What tangible benefits have you gotten through the use of of this product?
The product has been used to track down several, difficult to solve, issues with networks, applications and infrastructure It is passive data collection so the data is there when you need it which has provided the ability to troubleshoot intermittent problems after they have disappeared.
What advice would you offer to others facing similar issues?
This is a great tool to use in a production system for problem managment. It offers a unique way to trace problems without intrusive agents and allows you to get to the root cause quickly, even if the root cause is not network related.
