‘I Am Rich’ is the most expensive iPhone app

Summary: And it's useless...The description in iTunes reads "The red icon on your iPhone or iPod Touch always reminds you (and others when you show it to them) that you were able to afford this.

And it's useless...

The description in iTunes reads "The red icon on your iPhone or iPod Touch always reminds you (and others when you show it to them) that you were able to afford this. It's a work of art with no hidden function at all..."

I'm amazed that someone from Apple approved this to be in the App Store. If one (rich) unlucky customer clicks "Buy This" and types in their password, they are gonna be in for a rude awakening. Maybe Paris Hilton would buy it if it was pink.

UPDATE: This app has been removed from the App Store.

  • A JOKE

It's either a big joke or some smart-arse is finding the way to gain easy cash without doing anything.

And no, having it will never state that you are rich. Instead, it will show that you definitely need to go see a doctor to have a brain-check because it's not really well-function.

    • Don't need I Am Rich to show that

Don't need to buy I Am Rich to show that since the iPhone by itself shows it quite clearly! :)

      • Actually, it says....

        ...I am insecure.

  • How about the "I am really rich icon"

Its the exact same thing except...you don't even use an iPhone to put it on, maybe just a picture of it in your pocket or maybe just saved on a USB stick. It shows you are so insanely rich you can afford to waste your $1000 on this piece of crap even though you don't even use an iPhone. Now thats filthy rich. Also only slightly more stupid than wasting your money on it if you do have an iPhone.

    • Well, the perfect icon would be

a picture of Bill Gates, but it would look a little out of place on an Apple product :)

  • If it was .....

I've made a free version of this app as a web app. Not
quite the same, but you save almost a grand!

If you add it your home screen you get exactly the same
icon. Just go here on your iPhone:

and add it your Home Screen. Oh, and I've been cheeky
and used it as a way of promoting my own more useful
    and better value application!
