Facebook borrows some of Twitter's UI, but it's useless

Months ago, Twitter added a hover card functionality, that lets you hover your mouse over someone's name to get more information about them.

I thought this feature was new, but TechCrunch wrote about it in April.

I think the real story here is that nobody really notices this because they don't spend more than a few milliseconds hovering over a person's name before they click it.
