BMC Software said on Thursday it was acquiring Aeroprise, a partner that built the most widely adopted mobile application for Remedy IT management software.
BMC's Remedy software is widely adopted and delivered both on demand and on premise. The mobility part of the equation will also become increasingly important. Aeroprise specialised in applications that allow IT staff to monitor operations from multiple devices.
Aeroprise's software will become BMC Mobility for IT Service Management. BMC's Remedy software will now have support for iOS, BlackBerry, Android and Windows Mobile devices. BMC's Mobility software will be preconfigured with applications for service desk, change, asset, service catalogue and request management.
