in brief Fujitsu has secured a 40-month "multi-million" dollar services deal with Canon Australia to provide managed services for IT operations such as server, desktop and help desk.

Competing alongside five other vendors, Fujitsu was short listed in December and had signed the deal in March, according to an official company statement issued by Fujitsu.

"This partnership will be a great opportunity for both Canon and Fujitsu, as we aim to go above and beyond to help Canon achieve its business objectives," said chief executive officer of Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, Rod Vawdrey.

The 40-month contract had an option for Canon to extend the contract a further two years.
