Enterprise software vendor BMC today announced it would supply the Victorian Government's shared services provider CenITex with an operations management software platform.

CenITex will use BMC's Proactive Operations platform to trim the fat and improve efficiencies in its day-to-day operations including monitoring its infrastructure, application environments, service status and database operations.

The decision marks a continuation of BMC's relationship with the Victorian shared services provider, after CenITex selected the software vendor as its IT service management provider last year.

The new deal will help CenITex tackle the Victorian whole-of-government Efficient Technology Services program.

Gary Mitchell, ANZ country manager for BMC, said that the company was pleased with CenITex's decision and considers it a key client.

"CenITex is a best-practice example of proactive IT service management and its adoption of our technologies will help ensure it continues to deliver unparalleled services to the Victorian Government," he added.
