Citrix on Wednesday made its Worx App Gallery generally available with 100 third-party developers creating mobile applications.

The company outlined plans to launch the Worx App Gallery at its Synergy powwow in May. Worx applications use Citrix's XenMobile platform to control security, policies and provisioning.

With the Worx App Gallery, Citrix is aiming to become a one-stop outlet for IT administrators to distribute corporate mobile applications. Citrix said its plan is to simplify the steps---identifying the app, procuring the app, getting binaries, applying security wrappers, verify and deploy---involved with enabling mobile applications for the enterprise.

To date, the Worx App Gallery includes Citrix applications such as Podio, ShareFile and GoToAssist as well as third party software. Citrix said its market will also be available to software vendors, integrators and partners.

Developers can use the Worx App SDK to enable enterprise features to existing iOS or Android mobile apps.
