Applications integrator and consulting company Cloud Elements is adding support for the Twilio and SendGrid services as part of a new platform that speeds provisioning and integration of these cloud-hosted services with other cloud applications.
The integrator's primary services are called Elements, which are application programming interfaces (APIs) that extend the Cloud Foundry platform as a service (PaaS) with pre-built integrations to leading cloud services.
Twilio provides telephony services in the cloud. SendGrid focuses on high-volume email delivery. The latter company's platform is used by Web application developers including Airbnb, foursquare, Pandora, Pinterest, Spotify and Twilio.
Support for both Twilio and SendGrid is part of the new Cloud Elements Messaging Hub. The dashboard is designed to offer automated monitoring, tagging, and seamless interoperability between the two services.
"Cloud Elements' mission is to make it easier for developers to integrate, monitor and maintain the cloud services their applications depend on," said Cloud Elements CEO Mark Geene in a statement. "Cloud Elements brings these two messaging leaders together with a uniform API and consolidated monitoring, logging and analytics."
The end result are reusable Elements that help enterprises integrate and maintain their own cloud applications more quickly.
The new messaging is available at no charge through the end of 2013. Cloud Elements has not released potential pricing beyond that timeframe.
