Back in July, Cloud Sherpas -- which claims to have more Salesforce-certified technical architects than any other cloud services broker globally -- estimated that its 2013 revenue for that practice would grow by 40 percent.
With the year behind it, the reality is somewhat slower but equally eye-opening. The company reported Thursday that its overall global customer relationship management (CRM) practice apparently expanded by more than 35 percent last year, helping push up its annualized corporate revenue to approximately $150 million.
Based on the growth of the Salesforce practice, along with its services for Google and ServiceNow (a business that doubled last year), Cloud Sherpas said it will approach sales of $200 million for 2014.
"As a Salesforce.com partner with practices in multiple continents, we have worked aggressively but thoroughly to expand our team and capabilities to ensure that every Cloud Sherpas client gets maximum use and return on their cloud investment," said Gary DiOrio, president of the Cloud Sherpas Salesforce practice.
The company is a Platinum partner in the Salesforce Cloud Alliance program, and is also a worldwide Salesforce1 Service Cloud and Salesforce 1 Sales Cloud provider. It got into this business in 2007.
Cloud Sherpas also is posting impressive growth for its ServiceNow practice: not only did it just achieve Master Services Partner status, but its business with the software as a service provider doubled in 2013, according to another Cloud Sherpas press release issued this week. The integrator got into the ServiceNow business one year ago with the acquisition of Navigis, which (in turn) has been a ServiceNow partner since 2006.
Some of Cloud Sherpas' ServiceNow customers include Juniper Networks, REI, Sephora, Gymboree and Santander Consumer USA.
"Undoubtedly, the best thing about working with Cloud Sherpas was their willingness to understand and create custom solutions," said Glenn Harper, chief technology officer for Santander. "They work extremely well with our team, and our associates regularly leverage the knowledge of the Cloud Sherpas staff to deliver the best possible solutions to our end users."
At last count, Atlanta-based Cloud Sherpas had more than 700 employees dedicated to cloud services and solutions.
Aside from its stellar Salesforce and ServiceNow credentials, it is a two-time Google Enterprise Partner of the Year for Google Apps. It has operations in the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Australia, India, Japan, New Zealand, Philippines and Singapore. To date, the company has logged more than 5,000 cloud implementation projects.
