Internet users in China are the top visitors of the Web site offering jailbreak tool, evasi0n, followed by the United States and France, according to evad3rs, a jailbreak tool developing team.

In a blog post Wednesday, pod2g--which is part of the evad3rs team--revealed the statistics following the release of its latest jailbreak tool, evasi0n, on Tuesday.

Nearly 3 million Internet users from China visited the Web site, accounting for 20.12 percent of visitors, according to pod2g.

The country with the second-most number of visitors was the United States with 2.5 million users, contributing to 16.88 percent of traffic. France was third with 860,355 visitors, at 5.79 percent.

While pod2g said it does not condone piracy, jailbreak tools allow users to install pirated apps on their Apple iOS device.

China is widely seen to have a high software piracy rate, though its government has been working to improve intellectual property rights protectionDesktop software piracy rate in China dropped from 92 percent in 2003 to 77 percent in 2011.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a previous interview that he expects China to become the company's largest market in the near future. Apple has been localizing its products in the Chinese market to cater to the needs of local customers, Cook said.
