Dell's five-inch Streak Android tablet will continue to be sold in the UK despite the device's axing in the US, a spokesman for the company has said.
Those trying to order the Dell Streak 5 online in the US over the last few days have been met by a banner saying: "Goodbye, Streak 5. It's been a great ride."
However, a press spokesman for Dell told ZDNet UK on Monday that the device "continues to be on sale and will be for the foreseeable future".
The Streak 5 has been on sale in the UK since the middle of last year. It has a seven-inch cousin, the Streak 7, but the five-inch variant is something of an oddity in the nascent tablet market.
Apple's iPad leads the market with a 9.7-inch screen. Most of its Android competitors have screen sizes ranging between seven and 10 inches in size.

The big lie is allover the het. Streak 5 is out only from USA market. But this I-trolls don't want to write!
Do you imagine anyone is going to pay the money Apple are asking for a year old phone IPhone 4 ?:)
Dell Streak 5 is still the only pocketable device on the market, good for waching movies , e-books, full page browsing,..... and perfect phone.
Streak 5 is great, but is pain in the a.. of companies that want to offer you many gadgegts to buy insted!
It's not only in UK "for a while "! But it's available EVERYWHERE exept of US.
I would ask the autor of this article , what brend model do not "hang on for a while" ? :)))
