Dell unveils Vostro 3000 small business range
Dell has unveiled the Vostro 3000 series, a range of notebooks for small businesses.
The manufacturer announced the new models on Tuesday, with availability in the UK immediately. The machines are the latest in the Vostro line, which dates back to 2007.
The smallest in the range is the Vostro 3300, which has a 13.3-inch screen and weighs 1.94kg. The machine has an optical drive and uses either Intel's Core i3 or Core i5 processor.
The 3300 has from 2GB to 4GB of RAM, between 250GB and 500GB of storage, and either integrated or discrete Nvidia graphics.
Depending on its configuration, the notebook costs between £399 and £759, excluding VAT.
The Vostro 3500 has a 15.6-inch widescreen LED screen, and runs on the Core i3 or i5 processors. Its specification is almost identical to that of the smaller 3300, although as the base model, the 3500 is cheaper at between £369 and £709, excluding VAT.
Dell says the 3500 will gain a touchscreen option in April.
The Vostro 3700 is the largest model in Dell's new range. It has a 17.3-inch screen and the option of 1GB of discrete graphics power.
The 3700 can be configured with a Core i5 chipset, in which case it would cost between £539 and £729. Dell says the machine can also take a high-end quad-core Core i7 processor, but the UK pricing for this option is not yet available.
