About Rupert Goodwins

Rupert started off as a nerdy lad expecting to be an electronics engineer, but having tried it for a while discovered that journalism was more fun. He ended up on PC Magazine in the early '90s, before that evolved into ZDNet UK - and Rupert evolved with them into an online journalist.

About

Charles has been in tech publishing since the late 1980s, starting with Reed's Practical Computing, then moving to Ziff-Davis to help launch the UK version of PC Magazine in 1992. ZDNet came looking for a Reviews Editor in 2000, and he's been here ever since.

Kick off your day with ZDNet's daily email newsletter. It's the freshest tech news and opinion, served hot. Get it.

  • Flash +opera +9.50 +linux doesn't work in ZDnet

unless you tell Opera to be masked as Firefox. Any chance of fixing Zdnet as flash works fine in other sites? Not getting it right borks your browser usage stats.

    thanks

I wish Dialogue Box a long future as its great.

  • Sorry that you've had trouble...

...using ZDNet UK with your setup. I'll pass your comment on to our tech team to look into. Thanks for taking the time to tell us about the problem, and I hope it will be sorted out soon.

As for Dialogue Box, it's great, isn't it? I managed to sneak in for a brief cameo once, and it was a lot of fun.

  • Thanks

IS there actually anywhere on Zdnet that you can report things like this without clogging up the comments?

  • The best thing

is to send an email to me (Community.Manager@zdnet.co.uk) or to Customer Services (uk.customersupport@zdnet.co.uk). We mention this in the FAQ, but I agree that it could be easier to find this. I'll add a link on the Community home page for people who want to do this.
