Mega is on the hunt for a new chief financial officer (CFO) in the lead-up to its intention to begin an initial public offering (IPO) of shares.
The job listing states that the new CFO will need to bring the company through rapid growth, aiming for an IPO within the next 18 months. They will be responsible initially for building up Mega's systems, processes, and controls, and later growing its entire financial department.
Dotcom expects the new starter to have previously worked in a 30-person to 40-person, NZ$5m to NZ$50m global business, be a chartered accountant, and have a minimum of 10 years' experience, among other requirements.
Dotcom only recently brought on former InternetNZ CEO Vikram Kumar as Mega's CEO, and has hinted that he is looking for more talent. Linking to a video about how people should learn how to code, he tweeted, "when you got really good email me for a job".
A short time later, he said that if there is anyone interested in helping him create a Mega credit card that uses Bitcoins for its currency, they should get in contact.
