Less than a year after launching stateside, Dropbox is bringing its channel partner network to international markets.
The San Francisco-based company launched the first stage of its Partner Network in the United States alone last June.
Since then, the program has grown to encompass more than 750 IT service partners looking to resell, manage and support Dropbox for Business.
The second wave is opening up the program to potential partners in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the European Union.
Adam Nelson, head of channel sales and partnerships at Dropbox, wrote in a blog post on Tuesday that the cloud storage provider has received "incredible" demand from international customers, thus motivating the development -- a strategic move as Dropbox bolsters its portfolio catering to small to enterprise businesses.
In April, Dropbox completely revamped the Business platform by boosting the number of Dropbox accounts a single person can have to a grand total of two: one for personal use (standard Dropbox) and one for professional content.
The upgrade, designed to particularly cater to corporate users and their IT administrators, is a major step as the Bay Area private entity is reportedly preparing itself for a Wall Street debut at some point this year.
Dropbox has been busy expanding its global footprint in other ways as of late as well, including the opening of the company's first Asia-Pacific region office in Sydney, Australia last month. Dropbox has its European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
