- Palm Treo Pro (unlocked) will be tough sell
The Palm Treo Pro offers significant improvements in the design and features department, but the smartphone doesn't offer anything revolutionary and costs more than its competitors, which will make it a hard sell.

- BlueAnt M1 Stereo Bluetooth Speaker fantastic The BlueAnt M1 is a fantastic stereo-Bluetooth speaker that's portable, easy to use, and has great audio quality, to boot.

- Dell XPS M1330-126B needs recent history Dell offers a suitable competitor to the 13-inch Apple MacBook in its XPS 1330, but we wish this retail version had some more recent components.

- LG 50PG20 not quite up there Although no slouch especially considering its price, the LG 50PG20 plasma HDTV's picture isn't quite up to that of the best entry-level competition.

- Acer Aspire One (XP Home, White) has limited appeal
The Acer Aspire One is easily the best of the current under-$400 Netbooks, but its meager allotment of memory and tiny battery limit its appeal.

- Apple iMac (20-inch, 2.4GHz) one remarkable show Apple's smaller-scale iMac remains our favorite all-in-one. And while its looks, its ease of use, and its performance are all selling points, Windows PCs are starting to catch up (at least with the latter). A few components could also stand an update, but in general you'll find the 20-inch iMac a remarkable computer for its price.

- Samsung LCD strikes nice balance The midlevel Samsung LN46A550 LCD HDTV strikes an excellent balance between price and performance.

- Gateway DX4200-UB001A is best in its price class We can forgive Gateway for cramming the DX4200 with more memory than it needs simply because its specs and overall performance are the best in its price class. Of the various do-it-all lower midrange PCs out there, this one gets our nod.

Review: Palm Treo Pro brings thinnest Treo to the world
In a bit of a surprising move for Palm they launched a second Windows Mobile Professional device, the Palm Treo Pro, just about a month and a half after the Treo 800w. I expected to see a GSM version of the Treo 800w, but that hasn't happened and we don't know if it every will. Matthew Miller

AT&T blunders on free Wi-Fi for iPhones
AT&T just can't commit. To free Wi-Fi for iPhone 3G customers, that is. The company seems to be having a blunder-fest with announcements that iPhone 3G customers can get free Wi-Fi at its nationwide AT&T WiFi HotSpots (most notably in Starbucks stores). Rik Fairlie
