HP Enterprise Services today opened a new application services centre in Adelaide to help Aussie customers manage their enterprise application portfolios.

HP said today in a statement that the centre is intended to help customers squeeze the most out of their application portfolio, manage transformation activities and lower overheads.

David Caspari, VP of HP Enterprise Services, South Pacific said that organisations need to transform less responsive applications in order to keep up with new opportunities.

"The Adelaide centre will help organisations meet this challenge by providing access to world-class technology, best practices and the expertise of the global HP team," Caspari said.

Patrick Conlon, South Australian minister for infrastructure, said that the centre was an important demonstration of the strength of the South Australian technology scene.

"This centre will help create jobs, as well as promote Adelaide and our state as an innovative technology centre of international standards," Conlon added.

HP could not confirm to ZDNet Australia how many staff it was committing to the new centre in Adelaide, saying only that it was doubling its local workforce capacity for 2011.

  • What a total heap of smelly stuff. All the Talent has left the Adelaide Office due to HP's neglect on Training and more importantly Salary neglect. Now we are Cheap Shore any hope of a half decent raise is out of the question, I just got my 1st Salary increase in 3 years - 1.9%
