HP rethinks big data strategy with more personalized options

As Hewlett-Packard continues its journey to recovery, as repeatedly described by its own CEO Meg Whitman, the tech giant is revising a number of its enterprise strategies.

There are still plenty of question marks abound (i.e. HP's plans for 3D printing), but the Silicon Valley-based corporation just unveiled one of its new approaches to selling big data.

Dubbed Business Intelligence Modernization Services, the new package is designed to support companies looking to revamp their own big data and business intelligence return plans as well.

The key differentiator, as postulated by HP, is that this line of services can be customized and tailored to each enterprise customer before shipping.

Based on a blend of hardware and software with a dash of customer support and consulting services, the BI suite will feature optimized services centered around data discovery, hybrid data management, and analytics overall.

From there, customers can also choose from a variety of deployment and payment models, such as delivery as-a-service, private cloud, hosted and on-premises solutions.

HP is also touting an open architecture as well so businesses can incorporate other cloud and big data products from other vendors.

HP's new Business Intelligence Modernization Services are available worldwide now.
