Cut your risk - Dump IE & Outlook

The time is coming to take your eggs and split them up. As the old saying goes "Don't put all your eggs in one basket." Example Split up your major application providers - Dump Internet Explorer and Outlook/Exchange, these two applications alone are huge targets. It's like walking around with a big bird on your head. There are plenty of better quality applications on the market today than IE & Outlook. It just takes a better engineer to figure out how to get everything working seamless. Now this won't stop any of todays current attacks on the virtual environment. However, if there would be more diversity in the enterprise deployment of applications/tools in the environment, Spy Ware/Malware/Virus/Trojans/Key Loggers and the likes will have a much harder time producing new threats that produced results like "I Love You" and other notorious events of the past 5years.

I have never had a browser hi-jack attempt, but then again I refuse to use IE unless there is no other option, and even then I evaluate "Do I really need to get to this page on the net?" Most of the time the answer is no.
