From an admin's perspective...

...your guidlines for staying away from spyware are only stopgap measures. The first thing you should do to stop spyware int he workplace is to not give your users admin rights to their machines. "Power User" rights will give them the freedom to do most things, but keep the nastiest of spyware from screwing up their machines. At the very worst, a user with "power user" privledges can install a piece of spyware that only loads in their own profile, and doesn't mess with the core system. Most spyware assumes admin rights though, so when a power users goes to a malicious webpage, the spyware will simply fail to install.

Nevertheless - those programs you listed are great for the home user who prefers to log on with admin rights, or for work user who for some rare reason, needs admin rights on their machine.
