That being said, I know our network admins have elevated rights for everyone from time to time to deal with various issues

Bad network admins! wink Handing out elevated privledges to get things to work is almost never needed. I've run into many applications that had trouble running wihtout admin rights, but in 99.9% of the cases I was able to get them to work, usually via simple file permission changes.

Anyhow, we do get spyware on users' machines, but with power users rights, only the benign stuff that doesn't do much harm will work. The really *nasty* stuff only works with admin rights.

As for using Zenworks, I take it you're running Novell? If you have Win2k domain you can shut off these things with AD policies.
