I hear you
I feel the exact same way. The human trash that writes spyware, viruses, trojans and pop-up ads, sends spam and concocts phishing schemes to empty people's bank accounts are well on their way to ruining the internet. What once was a quiet and clean public swimming pool open to all is turning into a urine-soaked festering pit of bullies, ripoffs and obnoxious, harassing in-your-face ads. I'm so tired of these vermin trying to make a buck any way they can, no matter how many others get annoyed or inconvenienced or how many system admins waste their days and nights tidying up after the same infantile shenanigans, over and over and over.

It's safe to say the careers of most IT professionals depend on the common public use of the internet. Thanks to scum like this, I've found many people are just getting sick of it all. Sick of opening their mailboxes to find hundreds of unwanted messages advertising worthless products nobody in their right mind would give a damn about. Sick of the endless bombardment of popup-ads (I'm especially irritated by the ones that follow my mouse cursor around shoving themselves in front of whatever I am trying to read - do they really think I'm going to buy their junk if they stalk me like that?). Sick of unneeded and unasked-for parasitic programs - garbage written by garbage, as I call spyware - installing themselves and making sure it's virtually impossible to remove them without major OS surgery. If enough people get tired of the online experience, they'll just turn off their systems for good. And the moneygrubbing jerks will have remorselessly managed to wreck it all for the rest of us who DO make a living doing something useful and productive. Hopefully that day will never come.
