All I can tell you is what I experienced. My predecessor chose to put a trial version on all the PCs. When the time period was up, he neither bought the licensed or removed the trial program. The nag screens drove my users nuts. And as a not-for-profit, Spy Sweeper was out of our budget.

Then getting rid of it was fun-not. I used it's uninstall program and yet it kept popping back up, aka spyware. It wasn't removing itself from the startup, nor was it deleting program directory.

I know I shouldn't be so picky, but when I run a programs uninstall, I consider it a pain in the butt when I have to remove it from startup and delete the program folder to keep it from Frankensteining on me. wink
