Surely they can do better than this?
Have these people actually READ Clayton Christensen's books? What they're trying to do isn't disruptive and isn't even very innovative. On top of that sales volume isn't the proper measure for a disruptive innovation (read the books...). I can only conclude that either somebody heard the word 'disruption' at the water cooler and started using it or that they know what it means but it doesn't suit their marketing message. Don't get me wrong, I like Sun's products quite a bit but this kind of 'marketing speak' just doesn't do much for their credibility.
