The real problem is convenience
And no I am not blaming the end user. However in the rush to make every little thing convenient for the customer these flaws and guffaws are going to show up.

IMHO there is still something good to be said for simply providing a great product at a great price and the customer pays for it the old fashioned way. I chuckled at the look given me by my Dish Network salesman when I told them I would pay my monthly bill yearly by check.

Gawd was he funny after I sat patiently through his "convenience of online/bank debit bill pay" speech and told him I would just as soon not. Same thing with my phone bill. I'd just soon not be faced with the fear of a "Cingular" problem from online bill pay. I don't sign up for it never will.

As an old plumber friend of mine says, "The more you mess with the system the easier it is to screw it up."
