Reality Bites.

The truth of the matter is that open source software is better than commercial software if -- and ONLY if -- you are willing to find and fix your own problems. This is not widely advertised, because most people aren't willing to do that, so it might make open source software look bad.

Unfortunately, by pretending this isn't the case, letting people find it out on their own, and then charging them for support... open source developers are making *themselves* look bad. I think that's a pretty bad trade, myself.
