VB.Net Vs C#
..If you are going to take the step into OOP, and you would like to evolve your application using an OOP language, consider C#. It is a beautiful language, and the most striking things about it are its capability, tightness, and relative simplicity....

But if he already knows VB syntax, why not recommend VB.Net, equally capable, tight and even easier for a VBA coder.

Actaully, my advise would be to stick with VBA.
The learning curve for .Net is too steep for the causual programmer. Until Widbey anyway.
