A Packrat's Perfect Tool
I'd like to believe "they make a genuine effort to improve their product and polish the features in each release." However, my own experiences and that of some of the loyal users who participate in the IS Yahoo group suggest otherwise.

Tom Wolf, IS' public relations consultant who also became moderator of the IS group a few months back, generally does not answer in a specific way concerns about issues related to software or concerns about communication from the company. Discussion of alternatives is limited, and in fact he recently put me on moderated status on the list because I have compared and contrasted software, and advocated for more responsiveness from the company.

He got ticked when I suggested people should get the email address for Jim Lewis, head of Micro Logic, and email their concerns direcly to him. But Jim Lewis' email address appears on the Micro Logic site. And if I was Jim Lewis, I'd be more than happy to hear from the users who have concerns -- it's often concerns rather than compliments that lead to innovation.

I tried IS, but found from the get-go it was not the all-in-one solution its advertising suggests it is. I no longer use IS, but nonetheless recognize a few facts: One, Micro Logic has a large base of loyal, long time users. Two, many of those users have substantive issues with the quality of the product, product pricing, and the company's communication style. Three, the product has tremendous potential for future development, yet the process seems stuck in terms of really moving ahead.
