MS and keystroke Loggers
David, are you and I the only ones this concerned about this? I may be especially sensitive about this because my fully patched XP Pro machine was hi-jacked and none of the spyware/malware programs could eliminate it. I spent several days fiddling with the registry and finally reformatted and reinstalled.

Microsoft had better move quickly on this issue. I believe that XP service pack 2, release candidate 2 should immediately be released to the public and if it does not control outbound traffic, that feature should immediately be added. I hope that MS reads your column and can react quickly. They have a product line that is integrated and easy to use, (now that we have suffered the learning curve) BUT, as soon as thousands have had their identity stolen because of security holes, public opinion will change and MS will be wondering what hit them as there is a wholesale stampede to competing products.

As you, I am extremely concerned about having to operate XP/IE with an unpatched, known security hole.

I am sorry to say that I don't know much about Mozilla Firefox or Opera. Could you please run a story on Browsers so we can make an informed decision now that this problem has our undivided attention.

Your story is timely and right on point. Thank You!
