Chinese telecommunication solution provider and device manufacturer Huawei has launched Ascend P7, its newest top-of-the-line 4G smartphone, in Paris on May 7, 2014, according to a Tencent report published on the same day.

The phone features Kirin 910, a 1.8GHz, self-developed quad-core processor, a 445ppi, 5-inch full high definition touchscreen covered by Gorilla Glass 3, and a 13 megapixel SONY BSI rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an eight megapixel front camera.

According to a company document, Ascend P7, which is 6.5mm thick and powered by a 2500 mAh lithium polymer battery, sets a new record as one of the slimmest 4G LTE smartphones in the market.

“Huawei's relentless commitment to developing premium quality smartphones over the past three years has paid off. We are now ranked number three globally in terms of smartphone shipments, and our brand recognition is growing steadily in key regions such as China and Western Europe," said, Richard Yu, chief executive officer of the company's Consumer Business Group.

The phone is available in black, white, and pink and sold at 449 euros for the current 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM version in over 30 countries across Europe, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. However, mainland China customers can buy the device at only 2,888 yuan (about 333 euros).
