Infosys is to open a new facility in Germany's third city after winning a deal with BMW.
The facility will open in Munich on 1 April, Infosys said, and will house an undisclosed number of staff that will form an "integral part" of its work with BMW.
The five-year deal will see Infosys become the German car maker's global supplier of application infrastructure management services.
The agreement covers maintenance and operations of the web infrastructure, content management, SAP Basis operations, BMW's internal IT system and BI, as well as helping BMW make its IT operations more efficient.
BMW is headquartered in Munich, where it also has a production plant and R&D centres.
The Munich facility is the second Infosys has announced recently after winning contracts with private sector companies: it also opened a new facility in Milwaukee last year, after landing business from Harley-Davidson.
