Inside ASG's Perth datacentre: photos

Summary: ASG Group has launched its $10.3 million datacentre and $3.6 million cloud computing facility in Perth today, which it claims will withstand a one in 100-year flood event.

    The centre has three 950KVA containerised generators in the event of a mains failure, supported by dual fuel tanks and a redundant pumping system that can provide 72 hours of non-stop operation. ASG also has contracts in place for priority refuelling.

    Two 1MVA transformers feed separate mains switch boards via 800KVA UPS and battery systems, one for each stream. In the event that a transformer fails, ASG has contracts in place with Western Power for priority replacement.

    The facility also has a monitored and logged building management system that watch over infrastructure components such as cooling equipment.
