At the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco, Intel chief executive Paul Otellini discusses the company's next-generation, 45nm (nanometre) microarchitecture, Nehalem. The company says the processor will offer better performance and energy efficiency than its predecessors. It's scheduled to go into production in 2008.
