Internode opens Brisbane office

A growing broadband clientele in Queensland has led Internode to open an office in the state's capital.

Queensland now contributes nearly 15 per cent of Internode's revenues, the carrier said. The new office is located at 215 Adelaide Street, above Brisbane's Central train station.

At first, the office will only have four staff: two business development managers, a pre-sales engineer and a sales support/office administration person.

The focus of the office will be on business customers, according to Internode national sales manager Daryl Knight.

"Our primary focus is on building business relationships because commercial and enterprise organisations contribute about 40 per cent of Internode's total revenues nationally. We are aiming to achieve that level of activity in Queensland," he said in a statement.

Residential sales were straightforward decisions, he said, depending on service quality and price, but business decisions had more variables.

Internode currently has over 450 staff in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
