Investing In Mobile Security By Eric Everson, Founder MyMobiSafe.com

With many uncertainties in the global financial markets, there seems to be a lack of opportunity for commercial investment. Perhaps this lack of options is what has business investors looking at unique technology sectors such as mobile security for their investments. Better yet, it could be the abundance of opportunity that exists within the mobile security industry that makes investment a sure thing.

It seems that breakthrough technology, clear value proposition, and large market opportunity are leading reasons that investors are so hungry for the mobile security industry. These features compounded with the recent announcements of so many handset manufacturers to the effect of mobile operating systems migrating towards open source. Open-source platforms present not only an abundance of mobile security obstacles but market opportunities as well.

Mobile security leaders such as Symantec, F-Secure, Bluefire, and MyMobiSafe have all seen increasing investment interest in their business. The mobile security market is still young enough that investments could pay large dividends for investors. As the founder of MyMobiSafe.com, all I see is opportunity within this market segment. The future of mobile security does not have a definite leader, so any size firm is still capable of rising to the top. While many handset owners are fearful of the security threats that open-source represents, investors are cashing in on the opportunity.
