With the iPad mini and the 4th-gen iPad comes a change to the text at the bottom on the back. Where the size of your model used to be indicated (as seen on the 3rd-gen iPad at the bottom of the pile), there is now just branding and other misc. information. To know how much space is in an iPad now, you must check system settings.
iPad mini and 4th-gen iPad WiFi comparison
Some Apple devices have a history of bad WiFi connectivity, but here, it appears as though the WiFi cards are different in each new iPad. The menu on the left is on the 4th-gen iPad, which picks up more wireless networks than the iPad mini does, as seen on the right.
iPad mini and Kindle Fire: side-by-side
With the iPad mini making its debut into a similar form factor as devices like the Kindle Fire, I thought it would be apropos to compare them. Side-by-side, they don't look too far off from one another, which is demonstrated even better in the next image.
