This photo shows the ThinkPad Tablet 2 used in the Wireless Keyboard, a Bluetooth accessory that turns the Tablet 2 into a laptop on the go.

The keyboard is netbook sized, which is slightly smaller than a full-size model. The chiclet keys are quite good and typing is very pleasant on this keyboard. The red nub is not a typical ThinkPad trackstick, it has a touch surface that works better than expected.

The Tablet 2 is part of a modular system to fully leverage the utility of the slate. This photo shows the Wireless Keyboard, a Bluetooth accessory that turns the Tablet 2 into a laptop on the go.

Due to the small tablet size, the keyboard is slightly smaller than a full-size model. The chiclet keys are quite good and typing is very pleasant on this keyboard.

The integrated stand above the keyboard folds up to accept the Tablet 2 in the designated slot. It holds the slate at a comfortable angle that is unfortunately not adjustable. Given the wireless nature of the keyboard it can be used like any such keyboard. It is good used with the optional desktop dock.

Lenovo offers a sleeve that can carry both the ThinkPad Tablet 2 and the wireless keyboard. It is leather-like and is a simple pocket style. The inside of the sleeve is microsuede and the case offers decent protection for the tablet. It can be used without the keyboard.

    Price-- $39.99

  • I would like to read your point of view

Because you are one of the tireless Windows 8 critic/hater on the ZDNet. But please don't post your comparisons like Thinkpad Tablet 2 Vs. iPad Mini, Thinkpad Tablet 2 Vs. Chromebook or Thinkpad Tablet 2 Vs. Samsung Note 2, we get it you feel rest of the OSes are good and better for businesses to use than Windows 8. I would like to see a review between MBA Vs. this or Surface Pro.

    • Please don't try to speak for us all

There are MANY different views and needs here. You represent one, and one only.
      • I don't think I said "We"

except at one place. I asked him "I would like to read his review" and said we get it because as a lot of reviewers here already compared those including him, I thought the readers may not be interested in that. Please don't be angry with me. I know you don't like Microsoft, feel every pro-Microsoft commenter as a shill paid and hate "us". What we can do, we can't just support Google like you do.

        • You also said

"we get it you feel rest of the OSes are good and better for businesses to use than Windows 8"

By using "we" you seek to speak for all of us. I, for one, disagree with your point of view.
          • I think thats what I said.

Probably your issues with Microsoft are making you to complete not read my response to D.T.Long. Perhaps, you don't like my original post to JK and so be it.

          • Happy New Year!

Love my job, since I've been bringing in $5600… I sit at home, music playing while I work in front of my new iMac that I got now that I'm making it online.(Click Home information)
          • then he isn't speaking for you, but others who agree

      • +1

      • D.T.Long

Are you afraid of the results of such a comparison?
    • I dont really expect Kendrick to be objective

He is totally into peddling iPad, so no point in reading his review about anything with Windows. The usual Kendrick approach is to consciously ignore all the good points in anything non-Apple and blow up non-issues as big fails.
  • Slow?

This is essentially a netbook with a touchscreen and a detachable (optional) keyboard. If it suits certain users, that is fine. I think I would be more interested in an "UltraNetbook" with a touch screen if I were to purchase a 10" device for running full Windows 8. I assume this would be device to do "serious" work on. There is something to be said for a heavier base and an adjustable screen.

My guess is that it will not be cheap.
    • I think he mentioned the price already, it is $729.

      • Thank you

What a coincidence. All your posts get a vote as soon as you post them, and mine get a flag.

        I thing I smell a BIG rat.
        • that is a way protesting to ZDNet.

          Ram U
        • at the same time I may not be the one

who is flagging you, and I am not saying that I didn't flag you either. :)
          Ram U
          • I really don't care whether people flag me

I know I have a few "friends" here who will flag me no matter what. If they can't help acting like children, that is fine with me. It is consistent with the rest of what I see from those "friends".

What I found curious, was the fact that ALL your posts consistently got one vote as soon as they appeared, regardless of the subject. I do not know for sure whether you are involved, but such a thing would be pretty easy to arrange.

Let's just say that I find it highly suspicious and have dropped you another notch in my already not exactly high regard for you. Some people might call it karma.
          • Well, I am not here for having high regards anyway

Sorry if I am not living up to your mark.
            Ram U
          • flags

If you get flagged so often, then why don't you look at what YOU write and the often arrogant hatefulness you display and stop-blaming-everyone-else! Grow up!
  • Overpriced And Underpowered

Business as usual for Dimdows tablets, then.
    • I Agree...

They need to come out with a Powerful Windows 8 Tablet to match the speed and power of all those OSX and Unbuntu tablets that are flooding the market...
