  • Too litte too late

ONCE upon a time, Thinkpads were the true battle tanks among notebooks. Lenovo's mistake was to cling to the latest design iteration from the IBM era too long, while allowing quality to slip. My company is an all-Thinkpad shop (or 'was', I suppose), and the current models just break too easily (Mainboard, HD), while being really dull, are prone to overheat and come with stifling, never updated ex-IBM bloatware.

So.. I'm just not going to go back unless I hear sustained rave experiences, including on quality/durability say over the coming year or so.

    • Thinkpad Quality

Many of my customers have Thinkpads and their experience has been excellent. After hearing their feedback, I was waiting for this model to be available for my personal use. Sad to hear that your company didn't have the same experience.

Also, can we all decide to stop using 'Road Warriors' as it relates to beige people eating stale pretzels in a dull airport lounge with a piece of plastic on their laps?

  • The Most Expensive Email Machine Ever Made

This computer has, get this, a max of 4 ram. That's right, 4! This would allow you to have your email program and a few chrome tabs open. That makes this the most expensive email machine ever made.

  • Display in bright sun...

James....is this ThinkPad usable outdoors? I have a T60 which is marginal in sunlight...my only complaint. I like to use the ThinkPad as a 14" gps display in my car.

  • One flaw

The deadphone connector is on right side, but most headphones have cord coming from the left side.
