Mophie Juice Pack for HTC One provides protection and 2,500mAh: Gallery

Summary: Like the iPhone and many other modern smartphones, the HTC One has an integrated battery. Mophie was quick to launch its newest Juice Pack solution, and we have been taking it on the road.

HTC One with Juice Pack in hand

The Mophie Juice Pack is a nicely designed package that matches the high-quality design of the HTC One. An integrated battery and case is more convenient than an external battery and cable.

Stereo speakers are still both fully accessible

Both front stereo speakers are fully accessible when in the Mophie Juice Pack. The battery case is also quite protective, and offers edge and back protection. I really like the black soft-touch material that the entire case is made of, as it makes it easier to hold onto the HTC One.

    Volume buttons on right side

Looking at the lower half of the Juice Pack, you will find buttons for the volume controls on the upper right side. A micro-USB port is on the bottom, matching the micro-USB port on the HTC One.

  • I'd much rather

just have a phone with a removable battery so I can just put a bigger battery in it, rather than screw around with these bulky cases
    • battery

well wont a removable battery be much more of a pain since one would have to turn off the phone, remove the cover, remove and replace the battery, replace the cover then turn on the phone and wait for it to boot up? I'm not sure how long it would take for the phone to be ready to use again, however, with the mophie case, one need only slide the phone in and its ready to go. no need to shut off the phone and restart. its just like plugging in the power cable--takes only a few seconds.

  • Mophie Juice Pack battery case for the HTC One.

Mophie products are quality as well as functional. I looked into purchasing their newest offering for my new HTC One. I figured I might as well have the add-on benefit of "doubling my battery capacity" as well as the phone being in a truly beautifully designed case at the same time. However, the battery case 'adds' at least another 1/2" or 12.7 mm to the overall length of the phones exterior dimensions. Which is fine if your just "carrying" the phone in-pocket or purse, whatever. But I, like so many others "carry" my phone in-case clipped onto my belt.
I just bought 4 cases for the HTC One that are manufactured to hold the phone with a maximum length allowed of 5.41" ( HTC One size specifications:137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3 mm (5.41 x 2.69 x 0.37 in).
    Mophie Specs. with HTC One inserted ( Dimensions: 2.88 in x 6.06 in x 0.67 in )
I suppose cases could be "found" that would 'accommodate' the pairing but, and that's a "Big" but. How would I walk?
    Great product, otherwise.

  • battery of course

Not sure how much is this Mophie thing, but a spare battery for phones with removable ones is about $3-5, buy a couple, keep one in a car, another at work and you always good to go.

  • instead, how about

Just getting a good external battery pack? Ravpower has a great 10,400MaH one for about $40 on amazon or newegg. a 1amp and 2amp usb port, so you can even charge (or at least balance out usage) on two devices. There's dozens of others out there also. I use it for Ingress and will last me nearly a full day with my HTC ReZound.. and that's almost nonstop, heavy use
  • Definintely do not buy this product till quality issues are resolved.

The HTC One Mophie battery pack has "serious quality and design flaws". Do not buy it, I have had 5 in 4 weeks, and issues range from the connector at the bottom being to short to charge it or a defect that makes the Mophie not remember it has charge, have to plug it in 3 seconds to make it remember it is full to be able to use it. of my first 5, 3 had the short connector issue and 2 had the other issue. and Sprint even put it on another HTC, to verify it was truly a Mophie case issue.
