Adidas websites shut down after attack

Adidas has released a statement on its news website stating that it was "the target of a sophisticated, criminal cyber attack". So far, the company does not believe that any consumer data was impacted, but is continuing its investigation.
Several of its online shopping sites are still online, and do not appear to be affected; however, its sites for its other brands, Reebok and miCoach, have both been taken down. Reebok.com currently redirects Australian users to a placeholder image in place of a site, while adidas.com and miCoach display a text-based explanation apologizing for the downtime. The www.adidas.com address provides a list of Adidas' e-commerce sites, rather than the usual site.
The company first became aware that it had been attacked on November 3. It replaced its group website, www.adidas-group.com with a notice, but has since restored that site. At the time of publication, adidas.com, reebok.com and micoach.com were occasionally displaying various error messages or redirecting to different sites, indicating that changes were still being made on Adidas' servers.
