AT&T sets Wi-Fi aloft in Philly airport

AT&T Wireless said Thursday that it is launching hot-spot service at the Philadelphia International Airport as part of a larger plan to cater to business travelers with wireless data services throughout the United States. With the addition of Philadelphia, the wireless carrier and its partners now offer hot-spot service at a total of six U.S. international airports including Denver; Texas' Austin-Bergstrom and Dallas/Fort Worth; Seattle-Tacoma; and San Jose, Calif. AT&T Wireless is also offering service in over 500 major hotels and plans to include N.C.'s Raleigh-Durham International Airport to its network.

AT&T Wireless has three plans: $9.99 for 24 hours of service from a single location, $29.99 for up to five, 24-hour sessions from a single location and $49.99 for up to 10, 24-hour sessions from a single location. Subscribers have six months to use their service sessions.
