Jonathan Littman, author of "The Fugitive Game -- Online with Kevin Mitnick," has sued Miramax Productions Inc. and its parent, Walt Disney Co. (dis), for copyright infringement, alleging that parts of his book are used in the movie "Takedown" without permission. The movie is based on the book of the same name by John Markoff and Tsutomu Shimomura and has been released in France ahead of any announced plans for the United States. The lawsuit alleges that Miramax has used several parts from the beginning of Littman's book almost verbatim, including the opening scene involving a government informant and a strip bar. The lawsuit asks for a permanent injunction and damages. -- Robert Lemos, ZDNet News
