China sets up RFID standards group

SAC (Standardisation Administration of China) announced that a national standardisation workgroup for so-called 'electronic tagging' (RFID) had been established.

According to SAC, this workgroup is in charge of drafting and framing national standards for "electronic tagging", formally called RFID technology, and enable it to be compatible with other current international standards. If this standard is adopted and approved, RFID technology may take off in China. Read the full story from ZDNet China.
