Coming: Launch of Win98

ZDNN Staff | June 23, 1998 12:00 AM PDT

Microsoft calls its "another milestone on the computing highway." Or is it?

The growing consensus: While Win95 represented the opening of a new freeway where once a country road ran, its successor is more akin to a resurfacing project.

Either way, Microsoft officially cuts the ribbon on Windows 98 this Thursday in San Francisco. And you can be there -- by tuning into our news special.

We'll be bringing you up-to-the-minute coverage, with analysis and perspective from ZD reporters and editors.

Plus, ZDTV will be broadcasting live and will have a lineup of special programming -- all of it available right over the Web, starting at 4 PM PT/7 PM ET.

It all begins this Thursday, right here on ZDNN.

The discussion hasn’t started yet. Why don’t you begin it?
