Ultra-thin laptops using Intel's new Core i-series processors will go on sale at the start of June, the chipmaker announced on Monday.
The Core i3, i5 and i7-based slimline notebooks will have integrated high-definition graphics capabilities and will use Intel's Turbo Boost technology to automatically accelerate performance when needed, the company said in a statement.
According to Intel, the 32nm ultra-low voltage (ULV) processors are more than 32 percent smaller and offer 32 percent better performance than their Core 2 Duo predecessors, while offering 15 percent less battery consumption.
