Update, 6:43 a.m. PDT (CNET News): TechCrunch this morning spotted some iPod price cuts at Apple's online storefront. For instance, it reported, the 32GB iPod Touch has dropped from $399 to $279, and the 16GB iPod Nano has dropped from $199 to $149.

Thanks to an unceremonious cat out of the bag from a third-party case manufacturer, we now have pictures of what the new iPods look like.
Both the iPod Touch 3G and iPod Nano G5 sport a camera on the back, and the Nano continues the trend of the elongated screen that we've seen on previous models.

Not Real
I don't know about the Nano, but that defiantly isn't the new
iPod Touch. It's the iPhone. If you look closely, you can see
the speaker grill for the phone's speaker above the screen.
Unless Apple is releasing the iPod Touch with a phone built
in (?), I can guarantee you that that is not the 3G Touch.
P.S. Just noticed too that the Touch is running version 1 OS which was
discontinued last year.

Perhaps an existing product was used for the photo
so they could get a pic up for their case. It still gives a good clue as to the size and shape and location of camera hole (not to mention confirming the existence of a camera hole).

this article was obviously written with little or no thought. It
is obvious that this is an iPhone, and an old picture at that. It
is sporting a 1.x.x version operating system, has a phone
speaker at the top, and on the case there is a space for the
silencer switch.
